Authorities report that a two-vehicle wreck shortly before 5:30 a.m. in Byron left three people severely injured. The March 3 incident occurred on the Byron Highway nearby Byron Hot Springs Road.

On Dec. 7, a four-car accident in California resulted in the death of a 29-year-old woman. The accident occurred in Oceanside at about 9 a.m. when the deceased woman's Kia was rear-ended by a Ford F-150 truck. A Chevy pickup was also hit by the F-150, and the Kia struck a Toyota truck.
FedEx facing new lawsuit over fiery crash that killed 10
With 15 prior lawsuits, FedEx faces yet another case in relation to an April 10 crash involving one of the company's trucks and a chartered bus in California. The incident left 10 people dead, including both of the drivers, and also involved a third passenger vehicle. The two occupants of the Nissan Altima were said to have suffered minor injuries after being knocked off of the road by the truck.
Car strikes 2 students in California crosswalk
Around 6:40 a.m. on Oct. 16, a 26-year-old driver reportedly struck two teenage girls, ages 17 and 16, in a crosswalk at an intersection in Bakersfield. Both girls were crossing the street near their high school, and the driver was allegedly looking in her center console at the time of the accident.
